Waverley Junior Open Tennis Tournament 2007Results: Girls Singles|Doubles Boys Singles|DoublesThe culmination of a record 300 players competing in 442 matches over 8 days at 3 venues in the south side of Edinburgh took place, fittingly, the same day as 3 previous Waverley Junior Open competitors appeared on TV as part of the GB Davis Cup team against Holland. Blessed with glorious spring weather and a massive entry from north of Inverness all the way down to London, the popular Waverley event saw some sparking tennis and received fulsome praise from its visitors about its `competitive but funī spirit. Part of the LTA Sunday Telegraph/Center Parcs Junior Grand Prix, the players got the 2007 outdoor tennis season off to a flying start !! |
