Tennis Junior Development Programme

Waverley runs the Tennis Junior Development Programme (TJDP) which covers all levels of coaching, from small beginners on the mini tennis court to teens earning places in senior teams.

At WLTSSC there is coaching and competition for all ages and abilities.

Waverley Junior Open Tennis Tournament

This tournament for 2007 ran from Friday 30th March - Friday 6th April and was a hugely successful event with:

300 Scottish, English and Welsh juniors from 80 clubs
500 matches
3 venues
25 winners
19 trophies
7 Assistant Referees
1 'hot' kitchen
6 Waverley members
1 back page Evening News photo
1 parents' presentation
2 applications to join Waverley
1 visit by Judy Murray
1 mention on Davis Cup TV (where there were three Scottish ex-Waverley competitors on Davis Cup duty)

...and of course, LOTS of quite superb tennis and Easter fun!!
