Summer Matches
Over the Summer Waverley enters teams in the following leagues:
- Summer Social Leagues (see below)
- Veterans Leagues (Ladies over 40 and Men over 45)
- Ladies Inter Club Singles and National Club League
- Robin Wesh Cup
Time to dust off your raquet!
East League and Scottish Cup matches start in April
Club Captains Carol Hunter (Tel: 667 6500) and David Windmill (Tel: 668 2560) would be pleased to hear from anyone interested in playing for one of the three men’s and three ladies teams.
Match practices start in March and are briefly suspended during the WAVERLEY JUNIOR OPEN TENNIS TOURNAMENT (28 March – 4 April).
The first Cup matches are at home on Wed 16 April for the men and Thurs 17 April for the ladies. Support would be welcome!
East League Matches start on Monday 21 April and take place most evenings for the next 10 weeks.
There will always be one court free on match nights but the best way to get plenty of tennis during this time is to join in and play for a team! Waverley needs both regular team players and occasional fill-ins. Please get in touch or come along to a practice if you are at all interested.
